Annie Royal: Wolf Film References

We are trying to go for a less realistic look, but still keeping a good amount of realism as the animals are supposed to be enemies and not allies. Although the wolves and dogs in the images above look very cartoony, I mainly want to take the proportions into account.

Daniel Henry: Early Silhouettes & Research for the Roman Arctic Fox soldier

Before I started development on the Roman Arctic Fox Soldier, i sketched & inked a few silhouettes just to give me a rough idea of how i want the character to physically look without the roman armour.

key photos which will help towards the outcome of me and my group's final character designs.
Additional Silhouette studies showing common stances that arctic foxes perform before they get ready to attack their prey.

Daniel Henry: Early Iterative Design (Visual Brainstorms)

I sketched a few expressions & stances for the arctic fox, also showcasing some of the characteristics in my character profile sheet.
I then focused on the armour for the torso, just wanted to get a rough idea of how i want the Foxes torso to be covered.
The Next Stage was to experiment with the shin guards for the legs of my character, i mixed a few designs together until i was happy with the outcome. (Top right of this caption)
Existing Roman Helmets: I picked the design right above (Centre) to take forward and furthermore develop for my character as it complements the early concepts of my groups characters.

I wanted to design my character with a redesigned Roman shield, so i brainstormed existing Roman shields, quickly sketched a few and played with the size & shape of key elements such as the circular metal plate to furthermore enhance the concept.

The World History Book: Contains various information on Ancient Rome relevant to our project + realistic references & detailed illustrations. Has been one of the main sources of research for my character.

Annie Royal: Wolf References

The character that I will be designing, and making, will be a wolf. I got some images together to help me with my designs and ideas, also to help me be a little more realistic with my designs.

We wanted to add armour to our enemies as the game is based in Rome, the animals have this armour to show that they are ready for battle and it also gives a surreal effect to the game.

Daniel Henry: Early References for my character

Early references of Realistic Arctic Foxes, which i collected and thought would work as strong character silhouettes for my Roman Arctic Fox.

Daniel Henry: (Group Research) Characters from films which are based in a Dreamworld (Fantasy)

As a group we decided that the main character (Charlotte) gets knocked unconsious by a pillar, and that the game takes place during her coma (Dreamworld). I decided to gather up a list of movies which relates to the dreamworld/nightmare theme of our game "The Forgotten Rome". We rewatched some of the movies such as Wizard of Oz & Alice in Wonderland to get an understanding of the various types of characters that we could take inspiration from in our individual character profile sheets.
