Daniel Henry: The 3 Mood Boards

Artist / paintings & concept art that have informed the design of my character.

The culture /Ancient Roman fashion which my character takes inspiration from.

Movies that I have seen which in my opinion showcase animals with armour & weapons amazingly well.

Ramone Lawrence: Mood board design and paintings/Artists

This is my mood board which I have collected some of my favourite artist, and styles from different eras, The Renaissance, Giger and John Liberto who is a concept artist which worked for games and films. He is my favourite concept artist and has inspired me to become one.

Annie Royal: Wolf Final Design

Here is my final design for the wolf character (may remove the skirt if it is too hard to model), I decided to give him a lot of armour at the front as that is where it's body needs most protection. I also gave it sandals as it adds to the comedic effect of the game. I feel like the wolf looks ridiculous in this outfit, but maybe that's why it's so angry?

Daniel Henry: Roman Arctic Fox Detailed Concepts + Alternative Costume (Uncoloured)

A more defined concept to showcase the redesigned roman shield and coloured Arctic Fox

Additional Screenshots of various facial expressions using the four manga eye styles
Alternative Costume
The main goal of the alternative costume design was to experiment with combining two types of Roman helmets, whilst adding the caligae (army sandals) to the Arctic Fox.

Group: Stylisation of the characters eyes

Annie found some great examples of Manga eyes that will complement our characters.
As a group we agreed that we should draw the eyes similar to the four shown above.

Daniel Henry: Character Outline Sketches

Once i was happy with the physicality of the arctic fox, i then made a start on designing the characters armour/ helmet. As i preferred the shield on the back of the character, i decided to enhance the character concept using the helmet from the design (top right of the caption) and use the placement of the shield (bottom far left of the caption).
The stylisation of the eyes are still all black because as a group we have to decide on a art style.

Annie Royal: Wolf Film References

We are trying to go for a less realistic look, but still keeping a good amount of realism as the animals are supposed to be enemies and not allies. Although the wolves and dogs in the images above look very cartoony, I mainly want to take the proportions into account.
